There are many myths about sleep and even science disputes regarding the optimal duration of sleep, the best stages of deep sleep, or even the need for sleep at different ages.
What is certain, however, is that everyone needs sleep and, above all, it should not be too much sleep. Some people get by on six hours of sleep a night, others need seven or eight hours. The crucial thing is to feel fit and rested the next day.
Sleep for Power Challenge Rules
The purpose of this challenge is to determine your optimal sleep duration and then to sleep this in the future. The decisive factor is your condition the next day.
If you don't know your optimal sleep duration yet, find out! Start with a week of 6 hours of daily sleep and write down how you felt the next day. Then continue with a week of 7 hours sleep per day/night. Do you feel fitter or rather worse? Now try a week with eight hours of sleep per night. How do you feel on the following days? At the latest with this test you will know how much sleep is good for you. This then forms the basis for the Sleep for Power Challenge.
You have completed the challenge if you keep to your personal sleep duration for 30 days. Okay, one "cheat day" per week is allowed.
