The wealth of knowledge of all mankind is documented in books and available to all people. Reading is a cornerstone of education and therefore it also plays a role in the Timeless Challenge .

Dabei ist es nicht wichtig über welches Thema Du liest, denn Du kannst mit Lesen Deinen Horizont erweitern und „nebenbei“ wichtige Life-Score Punkte sammeln.

Rules

Die Regeln unserer Lese Challenge sind sehr einfach. Du liest und geniest Bücher und merkst Dir wie viele es in einem Jahr waren. Natürlich zählen auch die Bücher die Du dieses Jahr bereits gelesen hast. Die Life-Score Punkte zählen zu dem Lebensbereich „Persönlichkeit“. Sie helfen Dir, den wunderschönen Murmeln in gelb gehalten näher zu kommen. Aber wie groß wird die Murmel die Du bekommst?

The point of this challenge is really just to read regularly and thereby constantly educate yourself and keep yourself open to new things. This makes you a more interesting person and a more valuable and educated member of our society.

You can earn valuable Life Score points with each book. In the following table you will find the scale. We have focused on the number of books read per year.

But even if you just start reading and read 10 pages for a year, you've earned Life Score points as well.

For the reading challenge you can get the beautiful marbles in yellow. These have the following sizes:

• 10 books or 10 pages per day per year - A yellow marble with a diameter of 20mm
• 20 books per year - A yellow marble with a diameter of 25mm
• 30 books per year - One yellow marble with a diameter of 25mm and one yellow marble with a diameter of 20mm
• 40 books per year - Two yellow marbles with a diameter of 25mm
• 40 books per year - Two yellow marbles with a diameter of 25mm and one yellow marble with a diameter of 20mm

If you want to have the marbles, then we are very grateful for a monetary coffee. You decide the amount. However, please note that we have about 1.20 EUR postage costs. So throw into our coffee fund what you think is right. If the amount is higher than our costs (marble costs and postage), then the money goes to the reforestation of worldwide forests as well as to the further development of the Timeless Challenge.

This is how you can take part in the reading challenge

• Melde Dich kurz bei uns mit dem unten stehenden Formular an (zumindest wenn Du Interesse an den Murmeln hast), ansonsten kannst Du einfach so mitmachen. Beides ist super schön.
• Choose a book at your leisure and start reading. You will see, reading is fun and makes you curious about new things.
• Wenn Du nach einem Jahr z.B. zehn Bücher gelesen hast, dann musst Du das unten stehende Formular nochmal ausfüllen, uns diesmal jedoch Details mitteilen, dass Du die Challenge geschafft hast. Wir melden uns dann bei Dir!

Ich liebe Lesen und ich habe bereits sehr viele Bücher gelesen oder als Hörbuch angehört. Gerade Hörbücher „konsumiere“ ich unglaublich viele, da ich während dem Sport ausschließlich Hörbücher höre. Bücher die mich als Hörbuch faszinieren kaufe ich mir dann meist auch als Printausgabe und lese sie erneut. Gerade bei Sachbüchern mach ich das sehr oft.

Daniel Wolf - The salt of the earth

Wenn Du historische Romane liebst, dann solltest Du Daniel Wolf lesen! Mein erstes Buch von ihm war „Das Salz der Erde“. Ich will Dir nichts verraten aber soviel sei Dir gesagt: Ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen. Und Dir wird es auch so gehen 🙂

James Alexander Michener – Alaska

Und jetzt kommen wir zu meinem Lieblingsautor, James A. Michener! Ich habe alle Bücher von ihm gelesen und empfehle Dir zum Einstieg „Alaska“. Es ist ein dicker Wälzer, aber jede Seite lohnt sich. Michener war ein Weltenbummler und hat sich für seine Romane extrem gut informiert. Du lernst also über Land und Leute, ohne dass Du es merkst. Die Bücher von Michener (und so auch Alaska) sind unglaublich fesselnd!

Blackout

In Blackout, Mark Elsberg describes the consequences of a power blackout throughout Europe in an extremely exciting novel. I chose this book for my list because it has a current reference and everyone should know how dependent we are on electricity. But I also chose it because this book is extremely exciting!!!
