Did you know that more than two thirds of our food is industrially processed? So what?...... you may ask. With the so-called "convenience food" (ready meals) you can remember that the more processed the food is, the more additives and flavorings it contains.
But that's not all, ready-made products usually contain a lot of calories, unhealthy fats, household sugar, simple carbohydrates and hardly any valuable protein and satiating fiber. So they should not be your first choice. In addition, there are chemical ingredients such as flavor enhancers, preservatives and colorants, flavors, acidifiers, and many more.
These substances can be the cause of various diseases and rob you of energy in everyday life
So it's worth replacing convenience foods with home-cooked meals or consciously shopping that way, and cooking for yourself isn't hard, it's fun, and it saves you money.
For this reason, we have started the "Avoid convenience food" challenge for you, because our goal here is also to give you a little "push" to a healthier life with our awarded Life Score points.
A new challenge every Monday! Stay informed!

How does the Avoid convenience food Challenge work?
First of all, you should ask yourself whether and how many industrially processed finished products you normally consume. You should know what you need the next 30 days We are of course aware that you probably won't succeed if you really have to give up ALL convenience/processed foods. That's why we've created the following two categories. The goal is for you to give up convenience foods from at least one category in 30 days.
- Avoiding "common" convenience products (e.g. baked pizza, microwave meals or fast food from fast-food restaurants, canned and instant products such as packet soups, sauces, reheated noodle dishes, etc.).
- Abstain from all convenience/processed foods. So on all products from the first category plus the remaining, processed foods such as (e.g. make pasta, bread and chips yourself, use only fresh fruit, vegetables or milk).
ou already realize that the second category is much harder to keep than the first. That's why we "reward" them extra.
