In this entry fee is our Bike Lake Challenge “Bavaria“ Edition Sammlermedaille and the green marble (20mm) of the Timeless Challenge .

However, for this you first have to go around the ten largest lakes in Bavaria! Only then we will send you the well-deserved medal and marble! After all, you want to earn them and not get them as a gift.

With your registration fee you support my heart project, the Reforestation of one million trees worldwide!

Rules

The rules for Bike Lake Challenge Bavaria are very simple. Nevertheless, we would like to clarify them once again at this point:

Um die Bike Lake Challenge Bavaria zu bezwingen und Dir die schöne Sammlermedaille zu verdienen, musst Du nach Deiner Anmeldung die zehn größten Seen Bayerns mit dem Fahrrad umrunden.
Each lake must be circumnavigated "in one piece". This means that you are welcome to take breaks, but you should complete the lake within one day. Of course, you can divide the 10 lakes into different days. Do only one lake per day, because you want to enjoy this time!
We trust you that you have really circumnavigated the lakes. However, if you want to be included in the time ranking, we need a copy of your tracking. We don't care what you use (watch, smartphone or app).

General PLEASE NOTE!

Please note that the Road Traffic Act applies in public traffic areas and along roads and cycle paths. So move considerately.
You circumnavigate the lakes at your own risk and at your own risk. The operator of this website assumes no liability.
Please heed medical advice if necessary or have a medical examination before the start of the Challenge. You are responsible for your own health, equipment and condition. Breaking off a tour is not a disgrace, health always comes first!

Ein paar wichtige Regeln zum Umgang mit der Natur

Bitte nicht abseits der Wege fahren.
Please do not make noise.
Please do not collect rocks or minerals.
Please do not collect mushrooms.
Please do not leave trash lying around.
Please do not feed animals.
Please do not make an open fire.
Please do not pick plants.

This should be obvious to all of us, but it doesn't hurt to remember it from time to time.

Deine Medaille und Deine Murmel und die Life-Score Punkte

Wenn Du die zehn größten Seen Bayerns mit dem Fahrrad umrundet hast, dann hast Du Dir die wunderschöne Bike Lake Challenge “Bavaria Edition” Medaille verdient. Diese kann die Erste, in Deiner kommenden Sammlung aus der Bike Lake Challenge werden. Hinzu kommt, dass Du für 20 zurückgelegte Kilometer jeweils einen Life-Score Punkt für die Ehrentabelle und unser Life Lake Museum der Timeless Challenge erhältst.

The ten largest lakes in Bavaria

Im Folgenden stellen wir Dir die größten Seen Bayerns vor. Wir wünschen Dir, dass Du an ihren Ufern tolle Stunden erlebst. Den Bodensee haben wir bewusst nicht berücksichtigt, da sich dieser über drei Länder erstreckt.

Lake Chiemsee

Das „Bayrische Meer“ ist mit seinen knapp 53 kilometers Uferlänge eine echte Herausforderung für alle Radfahrer. Es können durchaus ein paar Kilometer mehr werden, wenn Du z.B. mehr Wert auf Panorama und die Schönheit der Wege legst. Der Chiemsee bietet Dir wunderschöne Uferpromenaden und tolle Lokale zum Einkehren. Allzu lange solltest Du Dir jedoch nicht Zeit lassen, denn 53 Kilometer sind ein echtes Brett, auch mit dem Fahrrad.

Achendelta nature reserve: There is a special nature reserve on Lake Chiemsee, the Achendelta. Please inform yourself about this interesting nature reserve on the Page of the Chiemsee-Alpenland Tourismus GmbH. Did you know that this delta could be the reason why there will be no more Lake Chiemsee in a few millennia?

Lake Starnberg

Der Starnberger See gilt als der See der „Beautiful and rich„, aber das ist natürlich nur ein Teil der Wahrheit. Auch beim Starnberger See musst Du mit ca. 50 to 53 kilometer for a circumnavigation, even if it is somewhat smaller than the Chiemsee.

Ammersee

The Ammersee is the third largest lake in Bavaria and offers you with its approx. 48 kilometers of shoreline the opportunity to collect kilometers in a beautiful landscape. You should definitely do this lake in the bathing season, because the cooling off at the beautiful swimming spots of the Ammersee is worthwhile. But also around the Ammersee you can expect beer gardens and great places to stop. But also many, great picnic spots.

Walchensee

The Walchensee can basically be divided into 26 Kilometern umrundet werden. Die Radtour ist wunderschön und die Aussicht am Walchensee ist berühmt. Nimm Dir doch die Zeit um die Radtour mit einer kleinen Wanderung zu verknüpfen. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und hat tolle Hütten unterhalb der Gipfel zu bieten.

Forggensee

Als Erstes möchten wir Dich warnen! Im Winter wirst Du den Forggensee nicht finden, denn da ist er nahezu verschwunden. Erst ab Mai ist das Seebecken voll und deshalb empfehlen wir Dir, erst dann diesen See in Angriff zu nehmen. Du wirst zwar „nur“ ca. 30 Kilometer zurücklegen müssen, aber dafür warten auch ein paar Höhenmeter auf Dich.

Großer Brombachsee

Der Große Brombachsee gehört zu dem Fränkischen Seenland und wird durch einen Wall von dem Kleinen Brombachsee und dem Igelbachsee getrennt. Wir empfehlen Dir gleich alle drei Seen zu umfahren, denn es lohnt sich!

Tegernsee

The circular route around the Tegernsee is approx. 20 kilometer long and yes, it is indeed one of the most beautiful in Bavaria. You can walk the entire route on a beautiful pedestrian path with views of the lake and the beautiful mountains of the Bavarian foothills.

Staffelsee

Diesmal geht es in die Zugspitzregion. Wenn Du den Rundweg um den Staffelsee meistern möchtest, dann musst Du a little over 20km zurücklegen. Dafür erwartet Dich eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf Deutschlands höchsten Berg.

Waginger See

Grundsätzlich muss man unterschieden ob man „nur“ rund um den Waginger See geht und damit die just under 20km bewältigt, oder ob man den Tachinger See noch mit dazu nimmt (zusätzlich ca. 10 Kilometer mehr). Wir empfehlen Dir natürlich die Kombination!

Simssee

Der Simsee liegt im Rosenheimer Gebiet und ist der Rest der von dem in der Urzeit riesigen „Rosenheimer Sees“. Wenn Du um den Simsee fahren möchtest, dann musst Du ca. 18 Kilometer zurücklegen. BITTE BEACHTEN! Das Südufer ist ein Naturschutzgebiet. Bitte verlasst die Wege nicht und beachtet unsere Hinweise!

Here you can quickly and easily enter your results and upload the evidence (e.g. screen copy of your tracking). We check them and approve them. Then your result is saved and appears in the honor roll.

Select the lake you are circling under "Lake"
Enter the distance you have covered (in meters) under "Length (in m)"
Enter the required time (in minutes) under "Time needed (in min).
Enter the date of your circumnavigation under "date"
Now you can upload the evidence (e.g. a screenshot of your tracking) under "Upload proof (optional)"
Now all you have to do is SAVE!
We check your round and release it. Then you will see your result in the ranking.
