B\u00e4ume, Klima, Artenvielfalt und Sport – Die Frage nach dem „WARUM?“<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We can clearly see that our planet's climate is changing. Our summers are getting hotter, and in many parts of the world, temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius are no longer uncommon. In Europe, extreme weather events are becoming more and more common, claiming many lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gleichzeitig m\u00fcssen wir feststellen, dass in Brasilien, dem Kongo, in Indonesien und anderen L\u00e4ndern der Regenwald st\u00e4rker abgeholzt wird als je zuvor, und in Australien, Sibirien und im westlichen Nordamerika die W\u00e4lder gro\u00dffl\u00e4chig brennen. Doch wir brauchen nicht so weit zu reisen, denn auch bei uns brennen die als unwirtlichen Monokulturen angelegten W\u00e4lder. Das bereitet uns allen Sorgen, denn als Outdoorsportler wissen wir, welch positives Mikroklima ein Baum oder ein Wald schaffen kann. Im Wald haben wir das Gef\u00fchl, dass wir freier Atmen k\u00f6nnen, es k\u00fchler ist und es weht immer eine leichte, frische Brise mit angenehmem Waldduft. Wir lieben es, zwischen B\u00e4umen zu laufen, wir lieben B\u00e4ume und wir lieben diese k\u00fchle Brise im Wald! Genau deshalb hei\u00dft mein Lebensziel, diese Aktion „Trees4Breeze<\/strong>„.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reforest and\/or preserve one million trees, but HOW?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I've spent a long time thinking about how this heartfelt goal could realistically be achieved. I mean, reforesting or preserving a million trees is financially beyond the reach of someone from the middle class, and begging for donations is out of the question for me. Professional organizations do that for other, important projects, and I don't want to divert resources from that. I want to take a different approach. I want to give something with an innovative idea and use the money I receive for this goal. <\/p>\n\n\n

Trees4Breeze and the Timeless Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Timeless Challenge<\/a> is a collection of over a hundred different challenges, all designed to be fun but also meaningful. As motivation, you'll receive collector medals, coins, and the popular marbles in different colors upon completing each challenge. Proceeds from the entry fees go to Trees4Breeze. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Iron Lake Challenge freut sich \u00fcber die meisten Teilnehmer und ist das Paradebeispiel f\u00fcr die Timeless Challenge. Auch ihre Startgeb\u00fchren sind f\u00fcr mich ein wichtiges und innovatives „Werkzeug“ zur Finanzierung von einer Million B\u00e4umen. Dabei umrundest Du die sch\u00f6nsten Seen Deiner Region, aber auch weltweit, zu Fu\u00df und erlebst unvergessliche Momente an wundersch\u00f6nen Orten. Als kleinen Anreiz und Belohnung bekommst Du eine Sammlermedaille, sobald du die Seen geschafft hast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
